Rusted Moss is a quality Metroidvania by Playism. The pixel art is gorgeous and the twin-stick control grapple gun is super cool. I was very excited to have the opportunity to check out this game and it didn’t disappoint.
A PASSION FOR ALL THINGS GAMES
Rusted Moss is a quality Metroidvania by Playism. The pixel art is gorgeous and the twin-stick control grapple gun is super cool. I was very excited to have the opportunity to check out this game and it didn’t disappoint.
Playing as the sole survivor on a stranded spaceship, Steel Defier tasks the player to collect a bunch of randomly spawning data discs in each room before the room itself kills you. It is a twitch platformer in which the player is squarely focused on defense; there are no offensive capabilities. Watch my stream embedded […]
Saibara Rieko no Mahjong is another Japan exclusive Mahjong game that features a Single-Pak link multiplayer mode for 4 players. I have no idea how to play Mahjong but I do know this earlier GBA release is no better, no worse, and really no different from the other multiboot Mahjong titles.
Originally released for smartphones, FurryFury: Smash & Roll is a top-down flicking bump brawler. It might sound a little strange, but the gameplay is rather creative and reminds me a lot of Squid’s Odyssey. You know how in pool/billiards where you have to knock the cue ball into other balls and ricochet them into pockets? […]
Also known as Taipei, Shanghai Advance features a co-op yet competitive Single-Pak link multiplayer mode for up to 4 players. Due to the screen size and small tiles, this game is difficult to play on actual Gameboy Advance hardware but made much easier when playing on a Gameboy Player. Still, it is a simple, fun […]
The next game in the long running Pretty Girls series by EastAsiaSoft, Pretty Girls Tile Match essentially follows the typical Mahjong/Taipei ruleset but with one important difference; instead of matching two tiles, the player will need to match three of the same tile to make them disappear. Once the tiles on the top layer are […]
This week, Gillman and I fire up Bloodhound on PC. At the time of this stream, we thought the full version of the game was already released but this was still the Early Access version (which is fine). We managed to play through the entire thing, beating the boss at the end. Even though this […]
A twin-stick tower defense title with roguelite elements, Marfusha is a highly entertaining, addicting action game with an interesting backdrop. To be more accurate, Marfusha is a high-tempo tax-paying gate defense shooter that stars a young anime girl taxed with unrelentless guard duty. For whatever reason, machines have started to invade and the local government […]
At the time of this post, Nintendo closed the Wii U and 3DS eShops and the Nintendo Badge Arcade (3DS) with it. For the last several years, I have been milking the free plays almost daily. Now with the eShop closed, my Badge counted ended at 7,275. The sad part, I still have well over […]
After 70-80 hours of playing through the campaign, without losing a single troop, I managed to reach the final battle in Tactics Ogre: Reborn (PS4, digital version). In order the reach this battle, the player must endure a massive 20+ unending string of fights, each taking at least 30 minutest to complete. While it is […]
