NEWS – Grim Fandango Remastered is Available to pre-order on PSN with Free Cross-Buy

Double Fine Productions, in collaboration with Lucasfilm, announced that Grim Fandango Remastered is available to pre-order today for PlayStation4, PlayStation Vita, PC, Mac, and Linux in anticipation of its January 27th launch date. The game will be listed on PlayStationNetwork as a Cross-Buy title for $14.99 and sports a new PlayStation4 dynamic theme as a pre-order bonus. PC, Mac, and Linux pre-orders are also available at GOG.com where the game will be sold DRM-free for $14.99 with exclusive wallpapers for those who purchase before launch.

Lucasfilm and Double Fine are thrilled to introduce the title to both new platforms and the next generation of Grim Fandango fans. Over 16 years since the game’s original release, Tim Schafer’s final game from his LucasArts adventure game days is soon to be making its way back to fans sporting both a literal and figurative new coat of paint. With updated graphics, a new live orchestral soundtrack, additional control schemes, developer commentary, and more, players will be able to experience the game with a whole new layer of polish and love, straight from Double Fine and some of the folks who developed the original game. Or they can always flip to the original art and tank controls and party like it’s 1998.

More information on the game can be found on the new website at grimremastered.com, including a new entry in the documentary series from 2 Player Productions covering the remastering process. This episode sees a bounty of members from the original team reuniting for commentary sessions as well as the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra recording the new live music.
