Bikkuriman 2000 Viva! Festiva! (Dreamcast) can be linked with Bikkuriman 2000 Viva! Pocket Festival! (Neogeo Pocket Color).
It literally took about two years to make this video because accessing the link feature requires the player essentially clear the NGPC game, understand Japanese, and grasp the mechanics of both games. Winning stickers is almost entirely random, making the gameplay very tedious and time consuming.
In summary, the player needs to reach Area 3 in the NGPC game (located in western archway in the main hub area), ride the whale to the east archway/hut, then play the slot machine by talking to the NPC in that hut. There are three colored orbs that are winnable in this slot: red, blue, yellow. When collected, the orb can be pushed to the DC game to earn a minor bonus. All these bonuses are explained in this video… basically it makes it slightly easier to earn some coins which is no big deal.
In the Dreamcast game, click on OPTIONS on the main menu, then choose the last option to put the game in stand-by mode (ready to accept the link from the NGPC game).
