A PASSION FOR ALL THINGS GAMES
Inside the thoughts of Sir SquallSnake.
This week, me and Gillman try some Stranger of Paradise and wonder how/why this game was made. Who asked for this? So strange.
Beast Shooter: Mezase Beast King is a Japanese exclusive Konami GBA title that features a Single-Pak link multi-boot mode. Unfortunately, without an English patch, it is difficult to determine exact gameplay details but I did manage to find two Single-Pak link modes as I stumbled my way through the main menu. Gameplay is basically like […]
Hardcore Pool is a decent pool game that supports up to 4 players from the use of a single game pak. Control is easy and intuitive, there are several tables available, and each player must select a stereotypical avatar character before each match. Kowalski! Emm-effing legend! This is Single-Pak link!
Like Pac-Man and Xevious (the GBA Classic NES Series ports), Donkey Kong features a Single-Pak link multiboot mode for 2 players but it is pretty much pointless. Instead, players can just pass-the-console if you wanted to compete for a high score. Also, high scores are not saved during the linked play. This is Single-Pak link!
Koro Koro Puzzle Happy Panechu! is an exclusive Gameboy Advance puzzle game exclusive to Japan. It is one of three GBA games to use the TILT SENSOR (the other two being Yoshi Topsy Turvy and WarioWare Twisted). We can easily take motion sensing for granted today as it is everywhere including our phones, the 3DS, […]
How did Droopy’s Tennis Open get made let alone approved? Droopy is a forgotten cartoon character that no one remembers and his entire personality is about being slow and drab. So why is he playing tennis?! This is a sport about pure athleticism, physical endurance, and speed – the exact opposite of Droopy’s nature. Even […]
This week, Gillman and I play Metal Dogs, a top-down action game features puppies with missiles strapped to their backs. Fighting tanks as a machine wearing dog? Cool! Let’s go!
Sonic Advance 2’s Single-Pak multiplayer mode is basically a repeat of Sonic’s original GBA release. Whoever collects the most rings within a 3-minute limit is declared the winner. The biggest difference with this sequel’s multi-boot mode is the short looping stage design (at an attempt to make this level seem bigger than it really is). […]
Adult Link in The Legend of Zelda – Ocarina of Time often says “skank” when in battle and a way to prove his might. Here is a fun way to appreciate this wonderful exclamation by waiting for him to shout this famous word here. -When will he say it?-How many times will he say it? […]
Rampage Puzzle Attack is sort of like Puyo Puyo, Super Puzzle Fighter II: Turbo, and Tetris Attack in one. The Rampage monsters do not alter the gameplay in anyway and were placed in this game to probably make it more marketable but the Single-Pak Link multiplayer option is pretty fun. This is Single-Pak link!
