Magical Drop Pocket is a vertically shooting puzzle game for the Neogeo Pocket Color that has a 2-player link cable vs mode. Instead of controlling a boring cursor, players force a clown to suck up balls from the top of the screen, the relocate them in other places to make combos.
The Neogeo Pocket Color version of Puyo Pop sells for mint today but still contains classic Puyo Puyo gameplay. Unfortunately, the lack of music and confusing options do not do it any favors, but at least the classic match-4 gameplay is still fun regardless.
Puzzle Link 2 is a more-of-the-same sequel only with a slightly more appealing visual style. But both Puzzle Link tiles on Neogeo Pocket Color are quality additions to the handheld’s library and the 2-player link cable mode is fun, entertaining, and highly approachable.

Baseball Stars Color is a quality little baseball title for the Neogeo Pocket Color. It is actually made better when playing against another human in the 2-player link cable mode as the AI can be unfair at times.
