Nintendo just announced a new version of their New 3DS designed specifically for the holiday shopping season this year. This new model will be arriving November 25, 2016 and will be sold only $99. In comparison, Nintendo’s 2DS system sells for $79.99 (usually comes with Mario Kart 7 pre-installed) and they recently released a Mario 3D Land bundle of the New 3DS for $149.99. To be clear, this is a New 3DS, not a New 3DS XL. There will be two versions, one black and one white. Apparently no game will be bundled with this system.

This announcement was just released through Nintendo’s official Twitter page. No specific retailers were declared but it would seem like Nintendo is trying to make one last push of the 3DS before they launch their new Switch console in March of 2017. The 3DS will be six years old in 2017.
